By Carolyn Forster

Retail: $27.95

With this new book, author Forster simplifies the process of using large shapes to finish large hexagon quilts quickly and easily. Basic shapes—including hexagons, triangles, diamonds, and kites—are created using a basic quilting ruler and an included hexagon template. The book includes complete instructions for 15 quilts and projects and over 200 photos.

From Gigi’s Thimble Quilt Patterns

Retail: $9

We love the retro vibe of this layer-cake-friendly quilt pattern from Gigi’s Thimble designer Amber Johnson. The quilt can be created using a scrappy binding or non-scrappy binding, and fabric requirements for both are included. Its finished size measures 61” x 80.” Available as a paper pattern or digital download.

From Blend Fabrics

This whimsical new collection from designer Cori Dantini features fanciful illustrations of miniature “makers” sewing, knitting, and painting with larger-than-life tools and notions.
The collection also includes coordinating florals and blenders in shades of pink, blue, yellow, and green.
